Both the raceways and the inner and outer diameters can be inspected by one or two probes through a line scan process. Following inspection, parts are automatically sorted into OK or NOK categories. The test system is mounted on a robust metal frame, making it ideal for production environments, and provides ample space for the steel cabinets that house the instruments and PLC (including Siemens SPS).

The inspection system uses one or two probes to perform a line-scan inspection of the raceways and inner/outer diameters. Clean, upright parts are isolated and fed into a transfer wheel, where they are accelerated and rotated via belts. At the inspection station, adjustable rollers ensure lateral fixation while the probes scan for surface defects. After testing, parts are separated into OK and NOK categories. Rings must be free from particles and dripping fluids. System configuration is carried out using ibg’s good-part-only principle. NOK masters are only used to verify detection performance in test runs. Infeed height is 1350 mm, and outlet height is 1150 mm.
