The VOEST-ALPINE WEIPERT W 490/1000 is a conventional centre lathe with lead screw and feed rod, featuring a robust industrial design.
The machine is designed for a wide range of turning operations in mechanical engineering, toolmaking, as well as repair and maintenance workshops. It is suitable for machining various metal workpieces and can be used for both single-part production and small-batch manufacturing.
Thanks to its traditional design with lead screw and feed rod, the lathe offers versatile machining capabilities, including longitudinal turning, facing and thread cutting.
The machine comes from a vocational training workshop and has seen very little use.
