Laser welding system

TRUMPF Laserschweißanlage

The system consists of two identical laser welding systems. The following components are included with the system:

Trumpf TruDisk 5001 laser source (laser source for both systems)
Disk laser Trumpf 12-12-30-A32/11 with focusing optics (PFO)
Laser measurement and determination PRIMES FocusParameterMonitor (FPM)

Welding fume extraction unit HERDING Comp 1500-8/9 SB
Dosing unit HERDING Multicoater_MCI 55/1 (for the addition of additives in the filtration process)

The system was previously used for the production of Li-Ion batteries (E-Smart). In this process, cell connectors for series connection in cell blocks were welded. The cycle time for cell blocks in the aforementioned production was 3–4 min. The system was professionally dismantled in March 2025. A layout of the system can be found in the attached PDF.
