This module is used to convert encoder signals fed in by a commercially available encoder.
These signals can reach levels from 5 to 24V DC.
A potential-free conversion to an output level of 5V DC with RS-422 characteristics takes place.

In addition, the pulse frequency of the output signals can be output in divider ratios of 1/2/4/8/16/32/64 and 128,
whereby the counting direction can be negated.
For this purpose, simply flip a DIP switch.
The division ratios refer only to the encoder counting signals (K1 and K2);
the encoder zero signal is output undivided.
