The MODUL ZFWZ 1250 is a heavy-duty gear hobbing machine designed for accurate machining of large spur and helical gears. Manufactured in 1978 by WMW MODUL (Germany), the machine is known for its robust cast-iron construction, high rigidity, and long-term reliability in demanding industrial environments.

The machine is capable of machining gears with a maximum gear diameter of 1,550 mm and a maximum workpiece diameter of 1,580 mm, handling workpieces weighing up to 2,000 kg. It offers a cutting (wheel) width of 600 mm and supports gear hobs with a diameter of up to 235 mm, making it suitable for medium to large gear production.

The hobbing spindle features infinitely variable speed control from 28 to 200 rpm, allowing precise adjustment for different materials and cutting conditions. For helical gear machining, the machine is equipped with a tilting milling head (±45°), providing flexibility for various gear geometries.

A large rotary table with a diameter of 1,020 mm ensures stable and secure clamping of heavy workpieces. The machine is driven by an inverter-controlled main motor with a power of 11 kW, delivering reliable cutting performance under continuous operation. Power supply is three-phase, 50 Hz.

With an overall machine weight of approximately 16,000 kg, the ZFWZ 1250 offers excellent vibration damping and machining stability. The machine is fully functional, ready for operation, and suitable for both production and refurbishment of large industrial gears.
