Uhlmann USP

Uhlmann Serialization Platform (USP) and Uhlmann line controller equipped with track & trace software.

Manufactured in 2017, this equipment has been utilized for printing variable data, including 2D matrix codes, onto sealed and packed cartons in a cleanroom environment.

Serialization coding and setup of variable data are managed via the line controller and then downloaded to the USP.

The USP operates as a standalone unit with a left-to-right product flow. The process steps are as follows:

- Closed cartons are received via conveyor belts
- Variable data is printed using two Wolke inkjet print cassettes
- The printed data is verified by a vision inspection system

- Cartons rejected by the vision system are automatically ejected using compressed air
- Approved cartons proceed to the outfeed conveyor

Uhlmann support is required for configuring and operating the equipment as a serialization station.
